Finished Center Diamond Quilt

Mom just sent me these pictures now that the quilting is finished. Look at how cute it turned out!

Center Diamond Quilt Top

When Mom and I were making the zig zag quilt, we ended up with more half-square triangles than we needed. My sister decided to turn them into this cute baby quilt. She and Mom are working on hand-quilting it now.

Spring Star Table Runner Top

I decided to use some of my leftovers for a new spring table runner:

Note: If you decide to make one of these, please do not use the instructions in the link above. You will waste a lot of fabric! For a good tutorial on making the triangles, go here.

Jewelry Quilt Top

I finished the quilt top from my first class I took last month at the Winter Quilt Retreat in Bryce Canyon. I downsized it a bit and made a few changes from the pattern. Here it is:

Isn't it amazing how changing the placement of colors and prints drastically changes the look of the quilt? We spent almost the entire class session looking at everyone's fabrics and deciding how to best place everything. The environment was really supportive and I think I learned a lot about color, contrast, and print. I wasn't so sure how mine was going to turn out, but I love it now.
