Quantico Quilt Progress

I mentioned several months ago that I was going to make a "man" quilt for my husband. After being on the back burner for some time, I've started working on it again and I feel like I'm finally making some progress. I like it more and more as I get further along in the process. I guess it has been worth it to convert my living room into a construction zone for the last couple of weeks. The pattern calls for all the squares to be sewn directly together, but I'm thinking about throwing a skinny bright-colored sashing around them all first. What do you think?

Large Zig Zag Quilt Top

While visiting my in-laws in February, I put together this quilt top with Lois using leftovers from our Paintbox quilts (which still aren't finished). We decided to do a larger version of the baby Zig Zag quilt in rainbow colors. I love doing joint projects like this, because they come together so quickly. I'm excited to see how this one will look quilted.

Tutorial: Coming Soon

I got a really fun package in the mail today: fabric from Riley Blake Designs! If you haven't heard of them, Riley Blake is a relatively new wholesale fabric company. They have a team of very talented designers and several beautiful fabric lines. I first heard about them at the quilt retreat I attended in Bryce Canyon. Anyway, they host a blog called Cutting Corners College and I'm going to be doing a tutorial for them in August. They've sent me some of their new Trick or Treat line by Doodlebug Design Inc. Isn't it so cute?
