Simple Elephant Baby Quilt

Just a quick finish for the weekend -  I pieced these squares together several months ago. They were leftovers from the Elephant Splash quilt I did last year. I threw in a few extra prints and colors too. Sometimes you just need a really easy project, you know? Last week, mom came up with the cute elephant applique, I quilted it, and she bound it. We make quite the team, I think.

The swirly quilting is supposed to look a little like an elephant trunk.
The cute flannel back is from JoAnn.

Finished Greek Cross Quilt

Mom and I found this sherbet orange chevron flannel for the back and I think it compliments all the bright solid colors nicely. All fabrics on the front are Robert Kaufman Kona cottons. The colors are Bahama, marine, lagoon, mango, candy green, banana, medium gray, and white.

Greek Cross Quilt - Coming Soon

I'm going through the leftovers from my queen size Plus quilt to make a smaller and slightly different version of it.

This block was inspired by the Greek Cross Tutorial over at Fresh Lemons Quilts. I used her basic dimensions, but I am skipping the HST triangle in the corners for a simpler look. I also think I'll alternate between white crosses and white background. I'm excited to see how it turns out.
